Saturday, March 21

Welcome to Day One of the COVID CHRONICLES, in which we describe life under quarantine. My wife tested positive for the virus last Friday. I am asymptomatic. But we assume I have it.

We’ve already been under self-quarantine since the previous Thursday. Now we are confined to two rooms until at least March 31. If our symptoms are gone by then (meaning my wife’s, unless I develop them) we’re released. My wife’s fever and cough are both gone and she’s mostly feeling run-down at this point.

This could be SO MUCH worse. We’re together, have a beautiful place, and family who can help care for us. Might seem odd to be in a place of gratitude. But that’s where I am at the moment. Love to all. Stay safe. (originally posted on Facebook 3/21)
