Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft

Well, it’s time to dust off Sports Monday after a lengthy hiatus. And what better time to do it that with the NFL Draft!

I’m joined again by my sons Ethan and Brian Hausser. This year we join the legions of Mock Drafters, focusing on selections by the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers in the first four rounds. Using 2021 NFL Draft Top 300 Big Board The Athletic’s Dane Brugler’s Top 300 Big Board, we allowed no trades, just straight picks.

Of course, we spend plenty of time on the 49ers Great QB Quandry. We take the position that Mac Jones is a smokescreen (despite Kyle Shanahan’s clear hints otherwise). We debate the relative value of RB, Edge, QB and OL in each round for the Bills. For the record, here are our selections.

  • Round 1 (3): Justin Fields, QB Ohio State
  • Round 2 (43): Asante Samuel Jr., CB Miami (Fl)
  • Round 3 (106): Drew Dalman, OC, Stanford
  • Round 4 (117): Simi Fehoko, WR, Stanford

  • Round 1 (30): Gregory Rousseau, Edge, Miami (Fla.)
  • Round 2 (61): Eric Stokes, CB, Georgia
  • Round 3 (93): Kendrick Green, OG/C, Illinois
  • No Round 4 pick

Check out the podcast! And tune in next week to see how we did.
